The Predators Send:

Paul Gaustad 84 32 years old
Mike Fisher 86 34 years old
Seth jones 83 20 years old
Ekholm 78 23 years old 3.5y

The Rangers Send:

Rick Nash 88 29 years old
Marc Staal 87 28 years old
Tanner glass 78

The retooling of the Nashville predators has begun! it was hard to see seth jones leave because we feel he is a great kid and wanted to see him progress but he'll be good on broadway. sending Fisher and Gaustad for me was hard although they are a bit older their faceoffs are amazing with 80 and 90. they are good players for the time being until his prospect grow and they have a few years left of gas in the tank. Ekholm also is going because hes bringing youth the rangers and he wants some growth in the organization. staal and nash are good players for the next couple years and are getting pretty old. nash is turning 30 and staal is turning 29. my team gets older with trading some of my core future away but how can you say no to Nash i grew up watching him play for the london nights. Marc missed his brother and was jealous of Jordan. we are both happy with the trade and both feel we made our teams better.

Although losing a player of Rick Nash's quality and Marc Staal's defensive prowess hurts now the New York Rangers feel that having a player like Seth Jones playing along side Ryan McDonagh will more then make up for it. His skating and speed will fit nicely into the lineup.

Both Mike Fischer and Paul Gausted will proveide nice depth and allow Chris Krieder to step into a top 6 role.
